Amble In is family-run, recently renovated luxury accommodation located In Bryansford Gardens. This is a quiet area just off the main street in Newcastle at the foot of the Mourne Mountains which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Situated on the shores of Dundrum Bay (Mourlough Bay) our establishment enjoys a panoramic view of the Mourne Mountains.

This 90-year-old house has been tastefully redesigned and fully renovated to be eco-friendly by the present owners to preserve its timeless character, atmosphere and charm and yet lends itself to modern-day comforts
All of our spacious bedrooms are en-suite with plasma TVs, WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities. We have a level access room with a wet room shower for the less able as well as off-street parking, and secure parking for bicycles/Motorcycles.

The mountains are home to ravens, red grouse, and peregrine falcons and are also an area of proposed special area of conservation and special scientific interests. Fulmars and black guillemots are another attraction from twitters as are the Manx Sheerwater and gannets that can be observed fishing out at sea.
The common lizard, the only reptile native to Ireland, has also been observed in the mountain range however Newcastle is best known for the world acclaimed Royal County Down golf course. The course is regularly voted one of the top 5 courses in the world and has hosted the British Senior Open, The Walker Cup, Irish Open and several other top competitions, it is also a popular haunt for the world’s top golfers who regularly play practice rounds there in preparation for bigger things.
